BBQ without Borders, an event that celebrates the contributions of immigrants in our culture.
Taking place in the gardens of the OMCA, this event brought together 4 immigrant chefs, 600 attendees, and a wide array of talented performers to celebrate immigration through BBQ, dance, music and conversation. We raised 30K for our east bay community.

each chef was introduced on instagram with a snippet of their story and a taste of their food. working with the image assets I had, some were low resolution and needed creative solutions like filter effects to keep it playful without showing too much that it was not a high quality photo.
The event we wanted a playful, approachable, and hand-drawn effect, so I drew ingredients and spices reflective of their cuisines to reflect that.
